So I have been utterly amazed at the amount of baby information that just doesn’t seem to be discussed in mommy circles and in the books. Either they are too gross, too trivial, or just too much information. I thought that I would start a category that focuses on these things.
For example, when I brought Abby home from the hospital and for months afterward, I was amazed at the amount of lint that I was able to pull out of her clenched fists and curled up little toes. Oh my goodness! It was like a treasure hunt at times, never knowing what I was going to find once I pried open those little digits. Can I get a witness?
So, please, if you have any similar tidbits, please share. I’d love to laugh with you on this one.
I thought I was a terrible mummy the first time I pulled out lint from baby Jane’s hands! I too had never, ever heard of this before and thought “oh my, have I not been washing her enough?” Of course, not true.
